Strategy
Case study: co-leading of CARE Afghanistan's strategic planning workshops, to develop plans and project priorities for the next five years. At that time, CARE was working with an annual budget of $20 million USD and over 200 staff.
Case study: An NGO that had been working in a complex environment for many years was facing a crisis in leadership, with a divided team and plummeting morale. I worked with the board and team to clarify core issues, identify change pathways and milestones, and articulate a new vision to rebuild confidence and commitment.

Analysis
Case study: a comprehensive review of Australia's aid program in Afghanistan, involving high level interview with DFAT and Defence personnel, Australian and Dutch military. Commissioned by ACFID Australia.

Leadership
Case study: Over 6 months, I was asked to provide strategic support to an international organisation based in Northern Asia, to develop a new theory of change and appropriate leadership and organisational structures.
Case study: mentoring and support to an emerging NGO working in Indonesia, to identify new funding and growth opportunities and strengthen organisational operations (roles, policies, structure, focus).

Training
Case study: design and formation of a bespoke, six-month management course for mid-level NGO program leaders. Topics included financial management, proposals, grants and funding, project design, strategic planning, monitoring and evaluation and human resources.
Case study: guide a community research program with an Aboriginal Corporation, to identity critical community priorities and aspirations, and gather baseline data and demographics in order to demonstrate change and leverage growth.
